"See you later, space cowboy."

Well, everything's coming to a nice, fufilling ending. Not one of those jarring conclusions... just a "Well, here I am" floating-away-in-space ending.

I'll most certainly be back for the movie, however.

Rice O-Week starts Sunday. I'm in denial. "What packing?" Everything will work out, though. I have most of the supplies I need, including a new pair of shoes - with arch-support inserts! Kleenex is a necessity, too.

For all the inquiring fans, my head's fine. Headaches from a bit of TMJ. Ibuprofen helps out a bunch.

Well... guess that's it. This blog is reaching the end of its usefulness. I started it two years ago, to stay in touch with Taryn. Despite my best efforts, it looks like I picked up some readers along the way. Now that I'm going on to Rice, I'll be making less of a conscious effort to keep posting. Good luck, everyone.

And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make

See the dwarves and see the giants
Which one would you choose to be?
And if you can't get that together
Here's the answer, here's the key
You can freeze like a 30 Century Man
Like a 30 Century Man
I'll save my bread and take it with me
'Till a hundred years or so
Shame you won't be there to see me
Shakin' hands with Charles De Gaulle
Play it cool and Saranwrap all you can
Be a 30 Century Man
You can freeze like a 30 Century Man
Like a 30 Century Man
Like a 30 Century Man

I wanted to quote just one line, but it's all good.

Happy Bastille Day, everyone!

"Now that you've found another key... what are you going to play?"

Wooo, I'm proud of myself. Finally started doing stuff this summer.Roughly in the right order....

- Star Wars binge! I've seen Episode I (twice!), half of II (horrible love story, you won't be the end of me today! aha!), III (twice!), and VI. I'll watch "The Empire Strikes Back" tomorrow. Still looking for "A New Hope."
- Liam Neeson rocks. A Jedi and a Batman villian? The only person who rivals those credentials is Mark Hamill. Did you know that he was the voice of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series? Now you know!
- Read volume 1 of Akira. If bikes were that cool, I'd be a gang member.
- Read Ghost World. Now I'll go lament my life. But the artwork was good and the story wrapped up well, so I forgive it. How kind of me.
- Watched "Broadcast News," one of those witty 80s films. Great dialouge, horrible character interaction. It's also suppose to be one of the most realistic depictions of syndicated news. Wonderfully quotable.
- Came up with a whole slew of new "Pope as Emperor Palpatine" quotes. I rock.

"In order to insure security and continuing stability, the Holy See will be reorganised into the second Holy Roman Empire!"

"The Church will decide your fate!"
"I am the Church!

"Conclave will no longer be of any concern to us. I have just received word that the Pope has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Holy See have been swept away."

"From here you will witness the final destruction of the Reformation — and the end of your insignificant rebellion."

"Your overconfidence is your weakness."
"Your faith in your God is yours."

Surprisingly, I didn't spend much time at all coming up with these. I love being a history nerd. Jokes are much better that way.
